I was born and raised in Hokkaido, where I still live today in a small town surrounded by nature with my wife, our two sons, and our two dogs.
Over the years, I’ve traveled throughout Japan and overseas, and I continue to do so whenever I can.
Along the way, I’ve built relationships with buyers, craftspeople, makers, and friends across Japan.
These connections give me a local perspective that goes beyond what you might find in a guidebook — from regional crafts and places to visit, to everyday life in different parts of the country.
At ZEN Home Finds, we choose pieces with care, looking at how and where they are made, the materials used, and the people behind them.
Our aim is not simply to sell products from Japan, but to share things we genuinely believe are worth discovering, using, and keeping.
